If you've decided to create your own bridal shower invitations, or if you want to customize the wording on the shower invites you found here, you'll want to make sure you include all of the information needed by your intended guests.

With any of this most important information missing, you might as well cancel the party. For some showers a little more info will be necessary as well.
Other information you might add would include things like:
To Rhyme or not to Rhyme, that's a good question.
Rhyming invites are certainly cute but it's really not necessary so if you're no poet, fear not. You can just write all of the information in plain English.
In fact, too much wording on an invitation can make the information appear cluttered and harder to read.
If you're including an enclosure of any type, that might be a more appropriate place to use a cute poem, as shown on this fun recipe card enclosure.
Traditional Bridal Shower Invitation Wording
Any of the following will work well as your Intro.
Followed by: day, date, time, location, RSVP information and then anything else you plan to add.
Some non-traditional bridal shower intro wording might include a love quote from a favorite poet or maybe something along the lines of:
We're having a Celebration of Love for...
John and Mary Sitting in a Tree, KISSING, First comes love, then comes the shower... and you're invited.
